Genoveva Toma
Gena, the owner of Gena’s Best Care Adult Family Home, is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with specialty training in Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and Mental Health. She has over 13 years of experience in elderly care and became a provider in April 2011. Gena lives off-site, with her husband and 2 children; however, she visits the home every day and is available 24hrs a day as needed.
Caregivers
We employ two caregivers during the day and one caregiver at night, with the option for awake staff during the night, if needed. All caregivers are hired based on the following qualifications and requirements :
✔ Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Assistant Registration
✔ Background Checks & Fingerprinting
✔ Fundamentals of Caregiving and/or Home Care Aide Certification
✔ First Aid and CPR Training
✔ Nurse Delegation Certification
✔ Dementia Specialty
✔ Food Handlers Permit
All staff are required to be able to communicate clearly in English.
Visiting Professionals
Home visiting doctor – Stephanie Johnson, ARNP, AGPCNP, MSN
Stephanie makes regular home visits and is available by phone as needed.
Podiatrist – Dr. Oleg Pisman, DPM
206-foot-doc – Advanced Foot and Ankle ClinicsDr. Oleg makes regular and as needed house calls to our home. For people with diabetes, this is essential.
